There are movies about how it is made, japanese green tea is made diffrently than chinese green tea, and each tea making region has their unique making proces.

Just one question. Is there any way to get that discovery channel documentary that was filmed about two years ago about o-cha.com?

I've had the chance to see how Chinese tea such as Long Jing Tea and Mao Feng green teas are being made and I must agree with Oni that there are many differences in the making processes. Long Jing tea, for instance is a sort of green tea that has slightly been roasted and flattend by hand whereas Mao Feng is dried and rolled mechanically. The important point in green tea making is that it shouldn't be staying too long after harvest and therefore is being immediately dried to make sure no fermentation has been started.

Kevangogh wrote: excellent videos! I really liked the air drying for matcha processing I can't imagine opening one of those drawers after the final drying stage and brewing a cup of tea right there..... mmmmm

The rest that no picture and movie shows it is magic, invisible to the naked eye, you can only smell it and taste it.
