Best green tea for weight loss

HI,

I recently found out about weight loss by green tea and found it interesting. We have lot of options in the market for green tea so am unable to decide which is the best for weight loss. I got Lipton green tea and am using it but am not sure if it will work. Can anyone suggest me in this case. Also if Lipton green tea is good, should it be taken with sugar and milk added to it or without it.

Hey,

Unfortunately, weight loss from green tea is a bit of a myth. However, green tea can be great for aiding an exercise routine.

So based on that, I'd recommend a matcha tea (which is actually a tea powder). It will really give ya a kick in the rear! :D

I wouldn't recommend Lipton green tea because (from my understanding) most major tea companies use low quality leaves.

Also, on the sugar and milk, it's best not to add to green tea.

Although green tea won't burn much extra calories, it can be used as a substitute for other beverages since tea contains no calories whatsoever. Green tea should never be drunk with milk and/or sugar and especially not if you are drinking it to increase you health.
The best green tea will be the one you like the most without any milk and sugar. I do have to say that when I first started drinking sencha, I found it absolutely undrinkable. You need to give your palate time to adjust and that means drinking it even though you don't like it.
If you really want to drink tea that will help you lose weight, I think oolongs have been shown to help with weight loss.
However, tea is not an easy fix. You will not lose weight by simply drinking a cup or two every day. Sustainable weight loss is always the result of a balanced diet and enough exercise. Tea can be very healthy addition to you diet, but don't expect miracles.

First of all, if u want to loose ur weight, u have to put in order ur nutrition. Simply, u have to spend more calories than u eat. Actually, u can also eat hamburgers, chips and sweets and u will lose ur weight, but u have to eat that things in very small quantity. If u ask me, that's stupid, but it works if u eat less calories than u spend. So, my advice is, to change ur eating habits. Of course, it would be great if u also start to exercising. So, u have to have at least 5 meals per day. I am not talking about big meals, but small, that make you feel fed for approximately 3 hours. Eat enough of proteins, complex carbo hydrates and healthy fats. Don't forget to dring enough of water. So, green tea, pu erh and other fat-burning teas are just kind of a supplement that can help u, but the most important thing is ur nutrition. It is good to drink tea before exercising, cuz caffeine is a stimulant. So, if u have any other question about nutrition (or anything else), just ask and I (or somebody else) will try to answer :)
