Haha, yes, there are tons upon tons of instant ramen here. But instant ramen is nothing like the real thing.

Where I live, we're lucky enough to have a very traditional ramen shop. I believe they're the only shop that serves loose leaf tea as well. I enjoy soy-based ramen the best, but theres also salt-based and bean-based varieties.

Mmm ramen... I like soy ramen a bit, but not nearly as much as salt-based. Mmmmmmmmm! There's actually not one but two ramen places near my home. Too bad I'm off at school most of the year... :(

Ive finally located shop which sells ramen and other bio products inluding some tea (not good ones) and some other soups.
Ive tried soy ramen which was good, but i must say that i will never ever eat nissin hot soy ramen, which is to much for me :|
I am still looking for excelent ramen in my country and i hope i will find it :D

Bumping this thread and seconding all the Sushi and Tempura comments.

Though I'm a big fan of most Asian style dishes, and I make a not half bad dish myself for the family sometimes.

Though I have a hard time thinking of exactly what is Japanese style food, besides sushi, tempura, and those beans that people either love or hate.
