But I've heard good things. |
Just an update, this past week I received the teas I oredered from Imperial Tea Court and they were quite good. |

One 1st flush darjeeling and one high grown ceylon from: inpursuitoftea
I have been drinking so much green tea, that I have gotten the bug for something darker! Sorry, I had to share it with someone... You know, like therapy? |
Interestingly enough, my pal Andrew (with whom I've had a number of long, instructive, and entertaining tea talks) happened to mention recently that he sometimes finds himself jonesing for Assam, at which point he contacts these folks: http://www.tfactor.us/ . The tea is grown on two family-owned plantations run by a father and marketed here by the son. He's supposed to be the nicest guy in the world and takes tea very seriously. They also carry a few Darjeelings from small plantations which I imagine are also good. The prices seem good, too, with one-ounce quantities offered (good for sampling!). I'll definitely give them a try one of these day; their quality is supposed to be wonderful. |

| Karen, I tried their Koucha which was interesting. Its the only Japanese black tea I've ever tried, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I would buy it again. Likewise I'd do business with tfactor again if I found myself in the market for something they carry, just not drinking a lot fo black tea anymore. |

I thought that looked interesting, too! It was the first and only time I'd seen black Japanese tea.
It's good to learn that someone else had a good experience with them. I think several of us at school are going to combine an order to save on shipping. I'll post our experiences if and when we do. |

Space sent me a sample of the Koucha, it is iunteresting. I would not call it spectacular, but it is a fairly complex cup. The leaf is very fine, so in brewing, you have to factor that in. I liked that it was Japanese, I definately felt more comfortable drinking it than other blacks of ill repute...
I did not look too much at their site other than enough to find it interesting enough to bookmark for future reference.
Let us know how you make out Karen. |

Will do, toots, although I doubt I'll be ordering the koucha (I have lots of Japanese in my current inventory). |
