I really want to order some Gyokuro tea from O-cha.com but since it is the 2007 harvest, how long can it be stored before the quality drops significantly?
Assuming it is stored in a good tea canister of course.
Thanks in advance for answers |

You should not have any problem with the Gyokuro. I recently revisited a gyo that I did not care for a year ago. Wow, I was floored how good it was.
Gyokuro is typically aged up to 6 months, and ometimes such as is the case with Kuradashi, over a year. The gyo you buy today will be premo. And you would have to wait for months after the harvest to get properly aged gyo.
So, you can buy now with confidence. |
