| I've been wondering which tea is the best regarding health benifits. You see, I'm a little on the big side for my age, im 13. I've been starting to drink Chinese green tea, but then i heard that Japanese is better. Which tea type is better and from which country? thankyou. |

Depends on what taste you like better. In terms of health benefits, they are probably about the same. I don't think anyone has any scientific data to be conclusive one way or the other.
However, it should be brought to your attention that Chinese tea does not have the same quality control as Japan does and some of their tea has excessive levels of pesticides and even lead.
Japanese green tea has a more vibrant flavor in my opinion where as Chinese green tea is more centered upon florals, whatever that means |

If by "on the big side" you mean overweight, don't drink tea because you think it will help you lose weight. The only thing that will ever truly work is eating less calories and exercising. It's the miserable law of the universe and I've been living with it all my life.
On the other hand, do drink tea because it tastes great. As an added bonus, if you don't put sugar in it, it's calorie free and you can use it as a substitute for soda/juice that have high calories. |

Oolong has been the new weightloss fad, but I doubt that has any merit, as oolong covers and extraordinarily wide area.
As Keving pointed out in another thread, there isn't a tea that's going to solve your problem. It can help a little, and if you drink it in place of other beverages, that will help too, but if you're trying to loose weight, there are only two ways: watch what you eat, and exercise. Tea can help you with that, but its not going to do it for you.
Sorry, but if you really want to loose weight, you gotta accept that drinking lots of tea isn't the sole answer. |

| It will boost your metabolism, but only enough to burn 70-80 calories per day. That's one pound every 43 days. |

Green tea is good.
But also there is white tea. Same as green tea, but leaves not dried.
I want to taste it. |
