So what is the best tea to consume for cancer and how much should be consumed?
I'm guessing it should be a high quality, powdered: white tea, sencha, matcha mix.
Does anyone know?

Well, for sure you want a first flush green tea, it's been proven that the first flush has more antioxidants than later harvests. Beyond that, I think as long as you have a fresh first flush green tea, it's not going to matter much. I mean, I don't think there is much difference in health properties between kabusecha and say, fukamushicha.
I think it might be smart to do a combination of shade grown and sun grown green tea as they each vary somewhat in the levels of properties. With matcha, you are actually drinking the leaf itself... |

I think you are right about the combination of shade grown and 100% sun.
I can taste a high level of theanine in matcha AND I can taste a high level of polypheonals in white tea. A good sencha seems to have a good combination of active ingredients. I'm sure you're right about using the first flush.
What amount should be consumed? If a person has full blown cancer and is not expected to live, then I'd assume that person would want to drink green tea all day long.

While I never push my products as a cancer cure, I do have emails from customers who are convinced some of our products cured them. One guy was ordering Green Tea S500 - First Flush Organic Sencha like it was going out of style. He sent me an email saying he is convinced that particular green tea was responsible for making the tumors in his prostrate go away. Last I heard, the tumors were gone but there were still signs of it in his blood tests. Since he was buying so much of it and because of his condition, I sold him a bunch at wholesale and haven't heard back in awhile. That wasn't the first email like that, and I'm sure it wont be the last.
I'm no doctor, I make no claims. I can state that I have seen many good studies that suggest it helps. My personal experience has been that it definately helps when you have a cold or the flu.
I know "if it were me" and I had cancer, I'd be drinking it like water. Not saying anyone else should do that, however. |
