I recently read where they have figured out that you need to drink between 3 to 10 cups of green tea per day to get the benefits from it. Appearantly, one cup doesn't cut it. I've never read anywhere where you can overdose from it, heh.
I have to wonder about these studies. Not regarding their accuracy. But what constitutes a cup of tea? How many grams of the actual leaf makes a single cup? And what about steeping for a 2nd or 3rd time. Do these impart enough of the good stuff to be considered more than one cup consumed?
I personally always steep a second time. And more often than not a third time as well.
Regarding a single cup it would seem to me that even one cup would provide benefits. Just not nearly as potent as if one drinks more.
Matcha is pretty concentrated stuff due to the "method of delivery". I doubt it would take many bowls of this tasty drink before you reached your RDR of green stuff.
