On some level this reminds me of melancholic Finnish dance music/Finnish 'tango' - not surprise that suicide rate is very high both in Japan and Finland

Hmm...have you ever heard the Japanese national anthem? Oh my, is it solemn and sorry to say, boring. It's like a death march. :^)
I like what I heard of the Enka on the blog. Very nice stuff.
