|
|
Hi all!
I am brand new here. I am a lover of many loose leaf teas, especially white teas right now. I have purchased a kind called, "Paklum Tips Reserve" from a place online called upton.
The tea is great. My question is this:
When I do a Google search to learn more about "Paklum Tips" nothing comes up except the upton site, which makes me wonder where they got the name *and* if alot of companies make up tea names...I am interested in finding out more about particular teas but have no way to do that it seems.
Does anyone know the answer to this? I know there are over 3000 types of tea...
Thank you in advance.

| Yes, a lot of tea names are simply made up. Kabusecha is a type of green tea we sell, we never gave it a name per se. "Hatsumi" is first harvest sencha from shizuoka, "Hatsumi" is just the name that was given to it by our supplier. |

| If it's a true white tea it's likely Silver Needle, perhaps mixed with a flower or two... |

| There are several types of white tea, silver needle, white peony, etc. They are actually different from each other. |

| Given the picture they show on Upton's site though, I'd guess it's silver needle. |
