Matcha really isn't graded like "A", "B", etc, so not quite sure how to respond.

Our tea whisks are hand made by a guy in Nara in the traditional way, so as you can imagine they're not going to be free.

in my looking aorund i haven't found Matcha to be graded, but the way i finally chose the Matcha i prefer is really a superficial choice i guess.....

I have never been fond of drinking thick drinks......even my milkshakes and smoothies i allow to melt some before drinking them.

So I chose based on thick or thin.....
I buy the kiri no mori because it is a thin tea, it still has a wonderful taste and a beautiful green color ....
So I guess I am an Usucha man over the thicker Koicha

We do have a matcha starter kit but you have to add the whisk to it, it's part of the process.

Speaking of whisks, there are many, many types. The one we sell is a general, all around good whisk and is hand made by a craftsman in Nara. Naturally, anything of this quality isn't going to be the cheapest thing to buy. I've seen Chinese made whisks for as little as $13 retail, but they tend not to last that long.

Kiri-no-mori is the lowest quality of matcha we offer, but it is still above average with the variety we have available to us. I have a long list of matchas I can buy with the highest quality at the top and the lowest quality at the bottom, and kiri-no-mori is in the upper half of that list. It's a good one.
