| I've lost about 20kg (or 44 pounds) in about a year since i started drinking tea. That being said i am 19 years old, so changes in body shape can be attributed to lots of possible causes, including simply hormonal changes. as far as the tea goes i drink about 9 cup (measures) or green tea an evening, however more importantly i think is the fact that i have started having a (very) big lunch as my main meal of the day and normally don't worry about dinner, instead having tea which stops me getting hungry though the night. so i suppose the tea is more taking the place of less healthy foods i would have eaten in it's place, which of course leads to weight loss, even if the tea its self is not the actual cause. also don't forget the importance of breakfast. i've found the key for me has been getting my metabolism moving early in the day and then not overloading it of a night when its naturally slowing down, so if i feel like cake i eat it for breakfast! |

Never heard of Nerada so can't comment on those. Generally speaking good Green Tea Bags are really hard to find, but we've got some good ones here - very green.
It sounds to me as if you are using them at the right times, the way I understand it is that it's best to drink before the excercise. |

| I bought the Nerada Green Tea in Perth Australia to bring back with me in Saudi Arabia. I am going to buy and try Slimming Grean Tea and try that out. Is that good for you and as well helps you to drop the weight. I have started using two tea bags now when I make it. I have with my meals and then before I go to bed. I drink about 4 - 5 cups of green tea a day. |

I think weight loss is due to tea being diuretic. So it is mostly water that will leave your body. Another effect is that drinking tea will keep hunger away - I usually drink 2-3 large cups of tea at work and do not eat anything during work days.
(Also if you drink very low quality, bitter and bad tasting tea at work it makes you go and - which keeps you awake) |

| "slimming tea" ? I'm always exceedingly skeptical of unscrupulous companies that advertise supposive special teas that are best at making one lose weight. The most obnoxious is the "wu long" miracle or whatever it is.... Oolong is oolong, and I bet you their oolong is nothing unique! Get what taste good! |

"Slimming teas" are usually herbal blends that have a laxative effect; there are many variations for sale in our Chinatown (NYC). I don't think they're actually tea, although there might be some brands that contain it. I imagine that one could lose weight this way, but it might involve discomfort.
I've read that pu-erh teas are supposed to be good for weight loss, as are oolongs. Maybe it's just a tea thing. |

Hi sportsaholic, welcome.
I would simply recommend you read the ingredients of any canned or bottled tea. I think the decision will be easy.
I would want real tea without all the additives... |

| Plus most "Green Tea" in a bottle is flavored water with a little bit of Green Tea Extract. While, the amount of EGCG, the component of Green Tea that burns fat is minute compared to a cup of the real thing. Recent studies from Oregon State University has shown that freshly brewed tea, black or green can contain 10 to 100 TIMES MORE antioxidants than bottles or canned tea |

| I think the 'fat burning' effect is very small and I would not drink tea only for weight loss purposes. I think it is also best to avoid all 'dietary supplements' that promise miracle weight loss etc. - most likely they are only waste of money. |

...lol, perhaps you are right. But I think tea is a good compliment to a healthy diet and exercise in any attempt to lose weight. But I certainly do not buy into the whole wulong slimming tea gimmick.
But tea can replace bad food and beverages in the diet...and is certainly healthier than a Diet Coke. |

Well... I don't realy think green tea actually burns fat off.
It got a lot of health benefits, but its not a magic herb.
But, from reading most of those " magic tea diets " on internet, that includes green tea, its all about drinking only tea ( plain, no sugar, no milk ) & water, nothing else.
If someone is drinks a lot of soda or other high in calories, sugary drinks and replace them with tea, obviously, this person will loose weight the first months. But eventually, if that person eats a lot of junk-food or doesnt exercice, his/her weight will stagnate or he/herwill replace calories with food. |
