1. How many grams do you guys usually use for Gyokuro?

2. For Sencha and Kabusecha, I usually use 4.5-5 grams. How about you guys? I think I read that most of you use that range, but I am getting more and more curious.

You should use double the amount of gyokuro leaf, brew it much cooler, and for a longer period of time. Also be sure to pre-heat everything.

When I make gyokuro, I usually use two teaspoons, but I'm wondering about grams instead.

Would this mean I'd use 8 grams? You literally double it?

I have been too timid using that much leaf even though I hear anywhere from 7-10 grams per 200 ml. I currently have "eased" my way up to 6-6.5 grams.
I suppose I should just do it...although I have enjoyed gyokuru at even the lower levels.

Now that I'm paying attention to grams my tea world has been turned upside down. I don't know what to believe anymore Laughing

...lol...sometimes the more you know, you find out that you know less than you knew you knew...... Confused

But if we wanted to know it all, we would drink coffee. The important thing for me is to always enjoy the the whole aspect of tea, especially always learning.......
