This is the only shade grown loose leaf tea that I've tried. I loved the taste of this tea. I can't wait to try gyokuro!
After several infusions, I'd chew on the leaves. They had a great sweet taste! I would brew the tea just so I could chew on the leaves. I bet gyokuro leaves taste good too.
I liked the flavor of those leaves more than any matcha I've tried so far.
When you get into gyokuro, you will find the taste to be quite different from kabusecha. It's trickier to brew, make sure to read up on that. From my experience, you won't really "get" what's so great about it until you figure out how to brew it just right, then you'll understand, heh.
