Is it advisable to consume the sencha leaves after brewing
I like to eat the leaves after brewing
Sometimes I put them in a frozen dinner while it's cooking in the oven or after I take it out of the oven. I wonder if cooking the leaves after they've been steeped will harm the healthy benefits in the leaves.
Is it like eating a powerful vegetable in your opinions |

| I think they are pretty safe to eat, I've seen the raw leaves used in dishes here in Japan. Plus, when you drink matcha you are drinking the whole leaf that's been ground. |

| I’ve been told that it depends on the quality of the Sencha as to wether the leaves are edible, at my local shop the Sencha Imperial isn’t suppose to be but the Sencha Yabukita is, I’ve also been told that leaves should only be eaten after two or three infusions (once again this may change depending on the quality). I do know that all Gyorkuro is suppose to be edible after one infusion. |

I won't eat the leaves anymore, especially in the morning before I go to work. I really sensitive to the caffeine after eating the leaves and become irritable at work because of it.
I wanted to read other opinions about the subject. |
