| You are trying to steal our stories to sell some product? You want to post something of a before-after story, try somewhere else. Who drinks quality teas after a few month know the effects, but if you drink some poor quality stuff, that has poor effects too, a stale late harvest tea has by far less nutrients that dissolve than first harvest sencha, and shincha or gyokuro, or high quality matcha, and there is a big diffrence between tea breeds and growing conditions, tea absorbs pollution, it has to be grown in propper conditions. By the way those teas you buy in teashops and that are sold under the name of great teas, are in fact knock offs, they sell stuff that does not even qualify as tea, so that is why I am angry with those sellers that use the hamburg system and they charge you money for tea that is worth a BIG 0, they dishonor the chado. |

Awww, come on guys...give Amy a break. She is asking nicely for assistance. She has not spammed. I am sure she will not plagiarize from our forum.
Amy, the forum is spammed by notorious entities frequently. Please forgive members who are not so trusting, there are reasons for it.
If anything, her article could give our forum publicity.
Hmm, what happened to the OP? |

| i just generally believe tea doesn't help you lose weight, maybe it could help you lose a gram, but nothing that would even be noticeable |

i'm not a woman but i do believe that most, if not all of the effects of green tea are not gender specific.
i can tell you that when i worked out before i started to drink tea, i was really sore the next day.
when i started drinking green tea, it lessened the pain and increased my endurance.
I drink tea more for the taste rather than the health benefits. I picked up tea because I'm in college. I wanted something to start my mornings off fresh without a heavy dose of caffeine. I drink tea instead of alcohol and soda (although there is no avoiding alcohol in college). I have also noticed that green tea lessened the effects of my hangovers.
A totally unrelated tea but something worthy of mention as it's gender specific to women, is peach tree leaves. These leaves when brewed as an herbal infusion put the user to sleep very quickly, but for pregnant women, it also rids them of morning sickness.
I would do more research on the peach tree leaves, I did read it from a reliable source (book) but I've never tested that myself.
Good luck finding information. |

| why would peach tree leaves be gender specific to women, I'm not saying it couldn't be, but did it give a scientific explanation as to why? |

some of the effects are gender specific. it will make a man fall asleep but it won't cure him of morning sickness. ie men don't become pregnant. you should really talk to your mom about why men can't become pregnant |

Well, the research has been done on this subject, click the "green tea and weight loss" link up top of the page. It does help slightly, about 70 calories burned per day if you drink 5 cups. It comes out to 8 pounds of weight loss over the period of one year, provided you do nothing different and drink 5 cups a day.
I removed the original post after the poster admitted it was something she was assigned doing, I guess for work. |

Tea stimulates circulation. That's at least one obvious reason that, over time, it will help with weight loss while also easing post-exercise soreness (flushing away the build-up of lactic acid), mitigating fatigue (it's a stimulant), etc.
Another aspect in the weight loss arena is that, like soup consumed before meals, it will fill you up a bit and that, in turn, will usually mean that you will eat less.
There are a few other factors within the realm of Eastern medicine, but I'm not going to get into that - at least not right now... |
