Has anyone else done this? I made some iced tea today, i steeped some sencha in cold water for like 15 minutes or something i didn't really count (i would never do that with hot water) , and when it was finished it was almost completely clear only slightly green, but was still very flavourful. i was wondering if anyoe else has done this with the same results or could give me some tips on iced tea?

| wow, the last cup i poured out was very green in colour and insainly flavourful, but not bitter at all, it was like a flavour explosion really unique I must do this again, I'll make a 2nd infusion now. |

| On the first infusion the first 4 cups didn't have much colour and the 5th had alot and had alot of flavour. The 2nd infusion had a little more greeness to it and the 5th cup wasn't quite as contrasting to the 1st 4. The third infusion was in between the 1st two in colour but didn't really have the intense flavour as the previous infusions with any of the 5 cups, but the 5th was still the most flavourful with it as it was with the 1st and 2nd infusions. |

It's absolutely spiffin' ! I didn't have any ice, so I used a bottle of mineral water which was the only really cold water I had left (would never use mineral water for brewing warm tea). I put it in the fridge to steep and after about 30 minutes it had become a nice green and flavoury iced tea without bitterness. Really nice. |

| Hibiki-an is giving a very accurate description of how iced sencha and gyokuro and matcha can be brewed, read it, if you buy some sencha superior from them (12$/100) you can enjoy a lot of ice tea, or alternatly try brewing your tea and than add ice to your leaves after 2 or three brews and you might get a third ice tea after a few hours, plus you use your tea efficiently. |

I like to cold-brew gyokuro just as I do sencha.
Fill a kyusu with ice and leaves, and drink when the ice is completely melted. |

In Korea, it's very common for people to drink ice tea. Many people prefer the lighter flavor it gives over the stronger and hotter tea.
It's also very nice on a Summer day. Pretty much adding tea to cold water is how most people do it although there are certain teas for that.
I had a point and I lost track of it... next time |
