| Honestly, I can't really say there is a "best" for health benefits. All of the first harvest green teas are going to be comparable when it comes to health benefits. |

| The pricing differences are not based on "health benefits", fortunately! Find the quality tea you like best and drink a lot of it and you will get maximum benefits. |

Even decent quality sencha teabags and low quality loose sencha have certain health benefits. I'm not even referring to O-Cha's high quality bags, but to the mediocre ones found in most Asian markets.
I had swelling in my knee for over 20 years after getting nailed by a hit and run driver while I was a pedestrian. It didn't really bother me so I never went back to have the fluid removed. About three years ago I started drinking cheap sencha daily, and after the first six months I noticed the swelling was literally gone. This was not the reason I started drinking tea, but it was a very pleasant side affect.
About a year ago my sister told me she was on prescription medication because her stomach was swollen. She had always been like me and avoided medication, so I was surprised. I asked her if she wanted to try green tea, with no promises. She said okay. After using Maeden and Yamamoto teabags for a couple of weeks, she was able to stop taking the medication. If she stopped drinking the tea, the swelling came back. The same was true if she skipped the medication, so already the green tea was at least the equal of the doctor and the medication.
For her birthday I graduated her to an O-Cha Dragonfly kyusu, some Houjicha (easy for a beginner) and some Yutaka Midori. By the time she got through these, the problem was gone. Now even if she doesn't drink tea for a week, the swelling does not return. Good thing, because she recently informed me that the medication was recalled for it's dangerous side affects. No such problem with sencha.
A close friend and co-worker, who herself already drinks sencha, started her father on it after hearing about the positive affects it had on my sister and myself. Her father had swelling of the stomach. After about two weeks of daily sencha drinking, she said the swelling was very noticably reduced.
Sencha is nature's gift to the human race.
Edit: Other green teas may be equally effective, but I don't know that for sure. All three cases mentioned used Japanese sencha exclusively, so I can't comment with any certainty on similar benefits from other types of tea. |

| I don't know if any single tea is the best. I think they all have different pros and cons. I always used to think green tea was the healthiest. However, I found an article that compared green tea and black tea(http://www.black-tea-benefits.com/black-versus-green-tea.asp). After reading this I realized that most teas are good for you in different ways. |
