Hitsuji Uh, Can I Add Sugar?

I just got this green tea from my brother who was in Japan. He doesn't really care about tea so he didn't acquire any info.
The box says something like Uji tea, so I know it's from Uji. It's made by Ito en, so I looked it up and it looks mostly like the Uji Kabuse, but a bit darker. However it's sort of cut up in pieces, like small flakes.
Is this a sencha or gyokuro? |

| It's hard to say, Hitsuji. The only real determinant to be found by just looking at the leaf, is that the leaf of gyokuro is typically a darker, deeper green. |
