Hello,
I am new to matcha and would like to know if there are any recoomenations for matcha that would be "sweeter" rather than bitter but not terribly expensive.
Thanks. |

Uji Matcha "Kiri no Mori"
This is the cheapest one on o-cha.com, and I don't think it's very bitter at all when made correctly. If you follow the instructions given, you shouldn't have any problems. |

...it seems that when I reduce the amount of matcha used, it is much less astringent.
Perhaps I need to still adjust to matcha, because I seems like I use about half as much matcha as I have read to use. |

| The sweeter, the more expensive - no real way to get around that. The sweeter matcha comes from older plants, usually over 30 years old. |
