I must admit, I miss the point of matcha in bags. I mean, you can whip up matcha even without all the official tools of the trade. Why infuse matcha, the whole point is not infusing it.
Agreed Space, am I missing something?
The Minister of RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT is summoned to Ryan's office.

It's annoying. For two years I've been trying to get a matcha in my store, but our procurement department wouldn't authorize it. Now that they have, its this crap.
At least I'll get some for free, and can let everyone know how horrible it (probably) is. |

| It came in today, and I am not particularly hopeful. I opened one of the tea bags and it doesn't look like any matcha I've ever seen. |

What does it look like?
Last time I was in the States I bought some Republic of Tea "Daily Green Tea" as I wanted to see what they were pushing. Small, round, flat paper tea bags. If you cut it open and look at the tea, it's a brownish-green powder. That powder is what is left after sieving, the Japanese equivalent of konacha. |

| It's green and has the consistency of broken orange pekoe. It made a lovely liquor, but the taste was very poor. It looks like the took a low grade chinese green and dusted it with matcha. I'll post pictures once I get off of my lazy *. |

Currently, I'm drinking the Republic of Tea Double Green Matcha Tea (tea bag). It is very good tea. It's great for work and on the go when I don't have the Matcha utensils.

| Does the Republic of Tea matcha tea bags really taste like matcha? If so, I will get some. Also, do you have to stir the tea with a spoon after it brews with that tea bag so it mixes well? |

I've yet to try matcha, so I can not say for sure, but what's inside the bag is only cheap Chinese green tea dusted with matcha. I've had other, higher quality teas that were dusted with matcha that were quite enjoyable, but this was just crappy.
And no, I don't think a spoon is required. |

Ah....forget it then. I don't have time in my life for crappy green tea. |

Lol, that would go great with some Kiwi Pear Decaf Silver Needles!
OK, no more being mean I suppose it is better than drinking corn syrup water... |
