Hi,
I've been looking into what is needed for matcha tea. I'd really like someone who has made matcha tea's opinion. (I am a student, budgeting is important.)
For a good cup of matcha tea what is necessary?
-a whisk?
-a bowl?
-the bamboo tea scoop?
And what about for a matcha latter? I noticed the recipe doesn't seem to say the whisk and bowl is necessary. What have you found?
What about sifters???
Thanks!

You must have: matcha, a whisk (the real bamboo kind made for matcha) and the spoon. The bowl isn't so critical if you can find something locally.
Nice to have but you can still get by without: sifter, whisk holder, special matcha bowl. |

Well I don't really make the Latte, I make a sort of Smoothie, something similar to the Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino, but its better, only because i make it to my own tastes.
I use a standard Hamilton Beach Blender
Add in 5 standard size Ice cubes (basic ice tray from walmart)
1 Cup of Vanilla flavored Silk (Soymilk the vanilla seems to be jst right and doesn't make things too sweet, i don't add any other sweeteners)
I use the bamboo scoop to add in 4 scoops of Matcha (I use the Kiri no mori)
Blend until smooth (no chunks of ice or tea residue around the sides)
Pour and sprinkle just a pinch of powdered matcha on top.....
Just my thing, you may not like it |
