If I keep my green tea in a metal tea cannister, will that keep the tea fresh? There is still empty space in the can, where, of course, air will be. Is it better to keep tea in a plastic bag where you can squeeze all the air out? I think I've heard that plastic bags aren't good because the tea could take on a plastic taste.
I think a plastic bag where you remove the air is slightly better, but it won't make that much of a difference really. You have about 2 months to drink it one way or the other once it has been opened.
