Obviously there is a lot of information surfacing in the area of health, healing, and wellness as affected by consuming green tea. There are studies pouring in from around the world. I assume most are from Japan, China, and the US. Does anyone know if this research usually involves "quality" teas such as what is found on this website, or are the same findings applicable to most store bought varieties?
My guess is the Asian studies use fresh, quality teas. I'm not sure about the US research. Being a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, I would also guess that the quality of the tea makes a huge difference. So I'm wondering how many folks are running to their local health food store and gulping down tea that may not provide the benefits they're looking for. I'd like to hear a few thoughts from others... |

| I agree with this. There are proven differences between first and later harvested green teas. Not just which harvest, but also "fresh" is the way to go. Most of the green teas out there have spent a lot of time in transit and in warehousing. All of our teas are ordered here from the growers weekly, they package it when we order it. Even when we ran the operation out of the USA, we had our teas air freighted in - no one that I'm aware of in the USA is currently doing that. |
